Key v1.x milestones

The v1.x series covered Castle's first-generation Android client throughout 2024. These versions used a different player engine, smaller content library indexing, and an older UI framework that has since been completely rebuilt for v2.0.0+. Most of the streaming infrastructure these versions relied on has been retired, so v1.x builds may have limited functionality on the current backend.

About the v1.0.x series

The v1.0 release was Castle's first dedicated Android TV build, separated from the mobile codebase to address the specific needs of d-pad navigation and 10-foot interface design. The v1.0.x series included multiple small iterations adding compatibility fixes for different Smart TV brands. v1.1.0 and later are recommended for current use.
